Hilliard History Express Project

Hilliard City Schools and the Hilliard Franklin County Historical Society have worked together to support the third grade social studies curriculum. The third grade Ohio Academic Content Standards for History ask students to examine changes in our community over time. This has been a challenge for our students, as there are few resources readily accessible to them.

We've partnered to bring the resources of the Hilliard Franklin County Historical Society and other organizations to the students. Ms. Pat Garbrandt and her colleagues at the Society's Library have carefully preserved the history of our community and the project provides around the clock access to a number of those resources.

Through this partnership, the Hilliard City Schools and the Hilliard Franklin County Historical Society Library have digitized many artifacts and materials that exist at the library for use by the community and the schools.

Generous grants and volunteers from several organizations made this work possible. Without their support, this project would not have occurred. More details on these grants and the many volunteers who helped along the way can be found on the "Partnerships" page.
